I am so excited! My CD Funky Seasons is featured in this months edition of Card Making and Papercraft Magazine. I've known for months that it would be so I don't know why I am so excited but that's just me I suppose.
I am still working away putting the finishing touches to my next CD release..I hope to be able to tell you more about in the next week or so.

I have been at it again.. making cards when I should be designing! I ordered these new stamps from a great site in Canada called www.stampingbella.com and they arrived this morning so nothing could keep me from getting out my under used (recently) H2O paints as these designs just screamed out for a bit of shimmery paint! I have been trying hard to improve my use of wire and beads on my cards so the Bath time card got my latest creation! Both cards have been made with backing papers from my soon to be released and as yet unnamed CD which I should be completing as I type but I thought I would show you what I have been up to this afternoon. Ahh well back to work...

I've been working hard (I promise I really have!) designing new papers for my next CD. As I have said in previous posts it's been hard but finally things are coming together! So I thought I would give you a little preview of a few papers that are completed. The CD hasn't even got a name yet but I am hoping to be able to release it sometime next month. Gosh I have so much left to do before I can do that..I had best get back to it. Speak again soon!

Coming up with designs for a new CD is a process..one that I have not been following recently! I have had what is known as a creative block..I just could not come up with anything even reasonable as ideas for my next CD. Maybe I have just been over doing it..maybe I have set myself too hard a task trying to release a CD every two months. I hasn't been a problem so far..so why now?? I don't have an answer but thankfully since yesterday my muse has started to return and I put it down to taking time to browse images on the internet. There are so many hugely talented people who take the most beautiful photographs that I spent a very pleasant couple of hours just looking at pictures that people had posted of every conceivable thing from pots and pans to beautiful sunsets.. suddenly I had some ideas! I pulled together a collection of colours for my new CD and once that was done I started designing.

I thought you might like to see a few of the colours that I decided on..it's not all the combinations just a flavour but so far the papers that are springing forth are great, even if I say so myself!! I had best get back to it before I forget all my ideas!

It's been fantastic weather here the last few days which is hard to believe when it's only April. Ian and I are not gardeners by any means but we have ventured to the local garden centre and purchased various plants to put in our poor bare garden. It's starting to look a little more alive now, I have to admit! On the craft front I am working away on my next CD but it is really slow going as I keep changing my mind about what colours and themes I want to use. When I find the right things I will fly through the designing I am sure.. if I keep telling myself this I hope it comes true!! If I am a little dry on the paper designing side of things I have had no trouble with my Digital scrapbooking as I have been making real advances in getting all my favourite pictures scrapped! Here a couple of new pages that I have completed recently..

Well time to get back to work, hopefully next time I will have something to show you from my new CD.

I have discovered ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) and I have been having fun creating some to swap on one of the forums that I am a member of. I thought it would be hard to create anything with such a small area to work on, but it turned out to be really interesting. I have so many bits and pieces in my craft room that are really too small for normal card making but work perfectly on an ATC, here's a few examples:

I used papers from my CDs Funky Seasons and The Funky One

This looks like something I will be getting addicted to!

April already, where is this year going? It must be because I am getting older, time seems to be going faster! When I was a child the summer holidays lasted a lifetime, now three months is gone in a blink of an eye. With thoughts of time going by so quickly I have been catching up on my digital scrapbooking here are a few pages that I pulled together recently,

This is my friends little girl enjoying her first Christmas, dressed as a snowman!! The papers used are from my CD 'Yule Be Funky'

This is Ian my other half and I on holiday a couple of years back. The papers used are from CD It's Funky Too

Sad I know but I love my little Smart Roadster, and it's never been as clean as this again! The papers used are from my CD The Funky One

Thanks for visiting!

I have been busy as usual with orders for the CDs and papers but I have found time to make a few cards with papers from Funky Seasons

I have a long list of cards that I need to make, the most important being one for my partner Ian who's celebrating his birthday next week. I have been thinking and thinking what I can put on a special card for him, and I think I have finally come up with an idea. Once he has had his birthday I will post it here, otherwise he will probably see it!!

It is amazing how excited I get these days over the most mundane of things, I have just got a fax machine, wow! I hear you say but I am so pleased with it that I keep faxing people things instead of emailing them! I am sure the shine will go off it soon and I will find something else to be my new favourite thing!

I have started work on my next backing paper collection, more about that when I have a few more ideas! Until next time. x

Hello and welcome..to the Funky Hand mad house!! I am pleased to let you know that we have released our new CD 'Funky Seasons' see it on www.funkyhand.com and it's gone mad! Thank you to everyone who has already ordered the CD the numbers have been overwhelming so I shouldn't be here chatting but getting on with dealing with the emails!! But I just wanted to post a picture of a card I created yesterday, during the calm before the storm, that I think came out really well. I used a paper from 'Funky Seasons' from the Autumn 'American Fall' collection and the wire heart I created from a great book by Julie Hickey about using wire on cards that my parents got me for Christmas last year.
Well that's it for now, speak soon.
