October Challenge on Get Funky!

I can't believe that another month has gone by since the last challenge on the Funky Hand Design Gang blog Get Funky! Where does the time go to?

We had some fabby entries again this month and I want to say a very big thank you to everyone who took the time to join in with us. I know all the Funky Hand Design Team loved visiting your blogs and seeing your fabby creations. There can only be one winner each month of course..to see who Ruth decided was the worthy winner for September pop over to Get Funky! While you are there you will also see this months new challenge for October.

Octobers challenge has been set by Allison and it's to make a Halloween card or project. You can make anything you like, all you need to remember is that there needs to be just one Funky Hand paper or extra included on your creation and you could be Octobers winner of a £20.00 voucher to spend on Funky Hand goodies on my website www.funkyhand.com.

Right, I suppose you want to see what I came up with for this 'spooky' challenge..

Now I'm terrified of spiders so I think that is why I decided to make my Halloween card with one on..if I met a spider that big I'd run a mile!! The card was great fun to make. I just printed out a paper from the Pumpkin Patch collection from my Now That's Funky CD onto white card and cut it to size to fit on the square card base. Then using my rather poor sewing abilities I sewed a bit of a random web onto the card. Luckily spiders webs don't have to be perfect..and this one certainly isn't.but I had more fun doing it than I have had for ages making a card! Once the web was finished..which I did whilst watching the TV..Ian was amazed that I was sewing anything he watched me rather than the TV!! (I think you might be getting the picture that I'm not too hot on the domestic, sewing, cooking sort of side of things !) I then added the spider which is just a large black bazzill button with two little stick on pearls for eyes and black stitching for his legs. I added the BOO! from the matching alphabet to the paper collection and then attached the whole thing to the white base card with foam pads. Of course everything had a good rub of black ink pad around the edges to give it that grubby, Halloween feel.

Well I hope you will be inspired to join in with us for this challenge over at Get Funky! and there are plenty of fab examples from the Design Team for you to have a look at..so go on Get Spooky! this month

Speak again very soon.
