I'm really pleased to be able to tell you about the technique videos that we recorded and prepared over the weekend. All the videos are showing everyone how to use some of the templates included on our latest release CD ROM Wishes & Kisses.
It's not always easy to understand how to use everything on a CD when you buy it so I wanted to show you all how easy the Papercraft Factory CDs are to use and to help you use them to really make your crafting fun. I mean in the end that's why we all craft isn't it? We want to enjoy ourselves doing it.
Anyway, here is the first video I want to share with you, it's how to make an exploding box from the templates included on the Wishes & Kisses CD. The templates make creating the basic exploding box really simple, no measuring and messing about. Which then gives you loads more time to play with it and really enjoy dressing it just how you want to, using all your craft stash and creative skills.
I hope you enjoy the video..we had fun making it! I really wish I could cut card as fast as it looks like I can at one point here!!
I'll be back soon with more videos and maybe even some cards!

Get Funky - Follow My Sketch!
Yes it's the Funky 15th again which means a brand new Get Funky Challenge. This month I am the hostess so I decided that we needed a bit of sketchy fun!
Here's this months Get Funky Challenge Sketch..
and here are a few pictures of the scrapbook page I created using it..
It's been ages since I made a 12" x 12" scrap page but I really enjoyed doing it. The picture is of Ian and our dog Travis on a walk on the Northumberland coast..this is the moment Travis saw the sea for the first time! I caught it on camera and I loved the picture so much..and what was happening for him in it I thought a scrap page would be the best way to remember the moment...
I used the Funky Freebie download from my website www.funkyhand.com which this month perfectly matches the Hey There Baby collection on my Wishes & Kisses CD ( It's new, did you know?!) The big letter T for Travis is from a wordbook page that I cut up and used the letter and the wordbook 'tail' together and layed the other letters for his name over. All the letters come from the Wishes & Kisses CD. I printed out the sentiment in the workspace as well using the impact label font that is available on there. The lettering at the bottom saying where we were and when, are my favourite rub on letters ever by Doodlebug.
So that's it really, get yourself over to the Get Funky Blog right now and read what I have to say over there and then, get crafting and join in, there's a download prize to be won. There is a post every couple of days on the Get Funky Challenge blog with more inspiration from a different Design Team member so keep popping back to see what everyone else has made.

Happy Birthday Sandi & my thoughts on digital crafting!
We had another family birthday yesterday, Ians Sister, Sandi. So, of course I took the opportunity to use my new release CD Wishes & Kisses to create a birthday card even though the title of the CD suggests that you can't make birthday cards with it..hope this proves it wrong!!
I used papers from the Hey Baby Girl paper collection but added the digital stamp from ones aimed at Thank you creations.
I coloured the topper using Letraset promarkers, Sakura gelly roll glaze pens in silver, for the stars, and white, for the highlighing. Finally here is a closer look at the sentiment that I created using the writer in the workspace section of the CD.
Now for my little bit of chat, that I know I don't always do but I really fancy it today..
I always design backing papers and other items on the Papercraft Factory CDs that can be used in any way that you like. I have to give each of them a title and a design direction but that doesn't mean you can't completely ignore me and use them for whatever you like. I've been hearing alot about special CDs being brought out that are especially for Altered art projects etc..I have to say all that always makes me smile. If you have any creative abilities within you, which if you are reading this blog you most certainly will have, you will have seen loads of things made by my design team on the galleries on my website www.funkyhand.com with all the Funky Hand CDs either the original ones or the newer Papercraft Factory versions that are not cards but every sort of creative item possible from flowers to go on your table to matching bags for a gift and so on. On all of my craft CDs I like to think that I offer you not just a 'click and print, here's a card to stick together with no thought needed' option but a digital craft box with backing papers, letters, digital stamps and sentiments that you can write yourself. Just a digital version of your craft stash boxes and drawers which you can pick from, mix and create anything that you want to with. Please don't just look at digital crafting as something that tells you what you can and can't create and your hard copy stash as where you can really create different things..look at them both together, mix and match them and create whatever you want to. Don't be told what you have to make..be the crafter that you are and enjoy sticking, inking and making a mess with all your craft stash..including your digital products be they on CD or in download format.
Ha, that really sounded a bit like a sermon on digital crafting, sorry if it did. I just am so passionate about what I do, the time I take over the products that I bring to you..the wait I always give to you between each of my releases because I throw away more of the stuff I design than you ever get on the CDs and downloads because I don't like them or think they are not good enough for you to pay your hard earned money for. You know when you hear 'think outside of the box' I really want you to think outside of the CD box and realise that what you get on my CDs will allow you to make ANYTHING that you want to.
Right, I think it's time for me to shut up and get back into my box! I hope you are enjoying a little bit of sunshine where you are and if you have been unlucky enough to have been hit by floods that you are all safe.
There is still a little bit of time before the end of this months Get Funky Challenge (It finishes 14th) Grab this months Funky Freebie on the website to help you to join in with us.

My turn to Get Funky!
The Get Funky Challenge for this month is getting close to the end..it's all finished on the 14th so now is the time for you to get over there and join in!
It's my turn to offer a little inspiration and here's the card I created to follow Ruths challenge of using Polka Dots and Flowers.
You can get a closer look at the flowers over on the Get Funky Challenge Blog and pick up a nice easy little tip for using two Papercraft Factory CD ROMs together you might not know. As I've said the challenge ends on the 14th and a new one starts on the 15th so don't forget that means you only have a few days to grab this months Funky Freebie from my website www.funkyhand.com before a new one arrives.
I hope you can join in with us, I can't wait to see what you create.
Speak again very soon,
