We ran away for the weekend!

With the new CD very close to launch it's been a bit stressful here at Teapot Studios so, Ian and I slipped away last weekend with our friends Andy and Vic to visit the Isle of Mull for a few days.  We stayed in a fab spa hotel and had a great relax.  I didn't realise how beautiful the island would be but it was, so I thought I'd share a few photos with you here..

Here's me on the ferry from Oban on the way to Mull after a 6 hour drive from Newcastle (yawn!)

The next morning we went for a walk along the beach that we could see out of our hotel room window..

We had a great time looking around castles and generally resting up and then on the last day we drove over to Tobermoray which I am told was were the childrens TV show Balamory was filmed.  The houses were all painted fab colours and we indulged in some wonderful handmade chocolates from a shop there.

We had a great time but, it's back to Teapot Studios now getting on with finishing off the new craft CD Colour Me Happy for launch.  I'll be back with more details of the date when I have them.

Sneaky peeks of the new CD...

Our new craft CD ROM Colour Me Happy is getting very close to release so, while we have been doing all the testing to make sure that all the great stuff available on it works perfectly I've been sneaking in a little bit of crafting with it!

Just to be a tease I'm not going to show you the whole image of the cards but just some little peeks..

It's Get Funky Challenge Time again!

Can you believe another month has passed us by?!  It's June 1st so we have a brand new challenge launching today over at the Funky Hand Design Team blog Get Funky!  Congratulations to last months winner.
This month Allison is in charge and she has set us a challenge to make cards using brown, pink and cream.  The theme can be anything that you like and all you need to do is include at least one Funky Hand paper or extra on your card to be up for the £20.00 voucher prize to spend on www.funkyhand.com.  Here's my effort this month:

Take a look at the new DT cards..

Just a quicky from me today as I'm knee deep in getting our new craft CD ready for testing.  I'll let you know more about it in the very near future (he he! what a tease I am!)

I wanted to share a couple of new cards that my wonderful Design Team have created using our latest Digi Stamp release Flutterby Flowers..pop over and take a good look at the gallery of all the fabby creations that they have made using it...

Don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on Get Funky! which has been set by Enfys it's to make a card in a shape, but no squares or rectangles are allowed (which I told her were the only ones I could make but it didn't make any difference to her!)  There's a £20.00 voucher up for grabs so make sure you get your entries in before the end of the month.  Oh and don't forget you need to have at least one Funky Hand
paper or extra included on your creation to be in with a chance of winning!

New Digi Stamp Download Release

I've been hinting that I had something new to share with you so they are Flutterby Flowers Digital Stamps

I know alot of you love your butterflies so Sally our grapic designer has hand drawn these funky butterflys for you to top your card reations with!  In the collection you get 5 A4 300dpi. One has all four images in sizes just right to simply cut and colour to top your cards.  Then you get an A4 image of each digi stamp for you to manipulate in which ever graphics program you use.

Get Funky May Challenge

Oops please excuse my lateness for posting about this months new Get Funky Challenge!  I completely forgot to schedule this post for yesterday!  Bad Anice!

Anyway get yourselves over to the Get Funky Challenge Blog to see the fab challenge from Enfys to make a shaped card.  This one was a bit of a challenge for me as I am a bit of a square (or rectangle!) when it comes to the cards I make.  So here's my go for this month..

I have been a bit naughty..I've used a new Digi stamp collection that I will be releasing for sale on my website for the Bank Holiday.. call back here tomorrow for more info but you can see that there are Butterflies involved!!  I printed the image onto a paper from my Dreams Come True CD and then made the body with a piece of black ribbon, his head is a button and his feelers are black craft wire.

Don't be afraid in North Tyneside...

..if you are unfortunate enough to be faced with a scary picture of  me on a telephone box or back of a bus!  When I started Funky Hand I had loads of help from the Business Support Agencies in North Tyneside. So, when they asked me recently if I would be willing to offer my support to a new project they are running called The Business Factory. How could I say no!
Today, Ian and I took a trip to the The Business Factory shop in Wallsend to meet the boss and have a look around..I didn't expect to see myself looking back from the shop front or inside quite so large!!  Here's me with my scary TV smile portrait!

Ian enjoyed my discomfort fully and the consultants in the office had a good laugh as well.  I'm very happy to support anyone who will give help to people trying to start their own businesses, I just hope seeing me everywhere doesn't put anyone off the idea!!

The new craft CD is coming along very well and we are hoping to be able to bring more details about it very soon...just a few more papers for me to complete. Oh and the Digi stamps on this CD are just fab and I'm sure you're going to love them when you see them!!

Create & Craft TV Tuesday 11am..I'll be there!

Just a real quickie post as I wanted to let you know that I'll be on Create and Craft TV live on Tuesday 13th at 11am, demonstrating the latest Funky Hand CD Dreams Come True again.

If you haven't seen what the latest CD can do try to tune in, and if you have..watch just to see how many times I can mess up!! But mostly it's a great opportunity to see the demo cards that my fabby Design Team Funkettes have created.

I can let you know that the desigining for the next craft CD is going pretty well and I hope to be able to give you more info about a release date for it right here in the near future.

Having trouble coming up with a name for the CD though..perhaps you could help me out with that? There isn't a particular theme as you know about Funky hand CDs so just something funny or clever would be great!! I'll make it worthwhile with a free copy of the new CD if I use any name anyone comes up with!!
