I hope you all enjoyed your Bank Holiday weekend. Mine was pretty busy with the launch of the new download collection Minty Madness and us having our first discount code offer. Thank you everyone who took the time to email me about how much you liked the collection and an extra big thank you to everyone who purchased the download. It was a fantastic launch! It's always so great to hear directly from other crafters and see your fab work as well. If any of you who have purchased the download this weekend have pictures of cards you have made email them over to the support address at funkyhand.com and I will pop them up here for everyone to admire. My design team have been working over time this weekend and have created some amazing cards with the new papers. They have been making them so fast I haven't been able to keep up with getting them on the website. Have a scoot over to all their blogs and get a taste of what they have been creating.
I mentioned in the title of this blog post that we have had a bit of a refresh..well as well as cleaning the bathroom and kitchen yesterday, which has needed doing for rather longer than I'd like to admit!!, we refreshed the website and here on the blog with a new header. Ian has been bending my ear for about two weeks about creating something a bit more interesting so finally yesterday we got something done!

Right, they say there is no rest for the wicked..so I must be very wicked as I have a huge pile of orders to process this morning. I don't want to keep my crafting customers waiting so I'd best get on with them!

I've been absent from my blog for way too long again..my only excuse is that I have been working very hard getting together another new download collection. It's been a mad house here at Funky Hand Towers whilst Ian and I run around trying to get everything done. At last it's all finished and I can tell you about my new craft backing paper download collection Minty Madness. Green is my favourite colour so I thought I would indulge my taste with this collection. When I shared it with my Design Team one of them said it reminded her of Mint Aeros..as they are one of my favourite sweeties that must have had some influence on me when I was designing it!! My Design team members have been working their creative magic again and have made some great cards with the papers which you can see on the website.

Happy Left Handers Day!
HeHe! It's great that us poor left handed people who have to struggle every day with the most simple things in this Right handed world have a special day just for us to celebrate our left handedness! So to all you left handers out there, have a great day! If you fancy having a bit of fun in your office or place of work how about printing off one of these 'Lefty Zone' posters from the Left Handed Club website and get your right handed mates to see just what it's like being in the exclusive 10% of left handers!!
It's double fun for us in our house as both Ian and I are left handed, everything is set up here for us and it's such a laugh when people visit and they find it difficult to use our kettle as it's set up left handed, left handed tin openers, scissors, plus lots more. I'm even sitting typing on a left handed keyboard with the mouse on the left hand side!

2 Sketches 4 You Challenge
This is my first time entering a sketch challenge from 2 Sketches 4 You. I have seen some fab entries that my design team have created inspired by previous sketches and heard them all talking about the blog so I thought as I have a little bit of rare crafting time this morning I would join in.
This card is a practice card for the invitations for my birthday party in November.. not sure if it will be the final version but at least I have got started! The papers that I used are from my download paper collection Paper Blossom and I simply layered the papers and alphabet letters and added the last piece of my favourite pink and brown ribbon. I must try to remember where I got it from so I can get some more! To finish off I added the word 'time' with my current favourite All Mixed up rub ons from Doodlebug.
It was a very busy week last week with my pre recorded shows having their first airing on Create and Craft TV hence the length of time since I posted here. I want to send a great big thank you to everyone who has sent me kind messages and been so positive about the shows. I really appreciate your comments and your good wishes. Happy Birthday Mom!
It's my Moms birthday today and as she isn't allowed access to the internet whilst she's at work I thought I would take the chance and share the card I made for her with you.. hopefully she wont see it until she has opened the actual card!!
You know when you start a card with one idea in your head and when it's actually finished it's nothing like your original idea..well that's what happened here! I used backing papers from my CD Now that's Funky and the stamped image is a Bella I purchased a while ago and almost forgot I had! I hope she likes it anyway!
The last couple of days have been quite exciting as I have had two of the shows that I pre recorded for Create and Craft showing. Thank you to everyone who has sent me lovely messages after watching the shows, you are all too kind! I can't bare watching myself so I've only seen bits and pieces of them but I'm pleased that you have enjoyed watching them.
I am working away at the moment on my next CD-Rom which I hope to be able to launch in September (fingers crossed) my mojo had been away from home for a little while but he seems to have come back now so I am making him work as much as possible. I will keep you informed about how I am getting on.

Funky Hand on Create and Craft TV
Oops I forgot to mention this before now! Must be all the excitement of my Blog Candy ending today, remember I told you that I was at Ideal World Studios in Peterborough last month recording some Funky Hand shows well the first of the recorded shows is running for the first time today. It can be found on the Create and Craft Channel on Sky Channel 671 at 12 noon today. This show is 30 mins dedicated to my craft CD Now that's Funky. If you miss it though don't worry because it's on again at 3pm on Saturday and then at various times everyday next week! Just check the schedules on the Create and Craft website. If you don't have Sky then you can watch the show online on their website..here's the link: Create and Craft TV I wont be watching as I can't stand seeing and hearing myself!!

Been busy making cards..for a change!
Lately I really don't get the time to craft like I did a while back. I'm always designing new stuff and then passing it onto my Design Team members for them to work their magic with so it has been a nice change to be able to make a few cards for my best friends 30th birthday. Now it's not until Saturday but I am trusting that as she is away in the South of France on holiday she wont be bothering to look at this blog, so I thought I would share a couple of cards I made. If I'm wrong..Corrina don't look any further!!!
The first one is a card I made for her from her little girl Alana,
This card was made using my download collection Shabby Saturday, her husband wanted it to be pink and girly so I included a super cute picture of Alana at the Zoo, she has a rather grumpy face on her but it's still a great picture just because of that!! I added buttons to give some texture and got out my scalloped Nestabilities for the circle. As usual I made the card a strange size so I made a matching box using more papers from the collection printed directly on to card.
This next card is from Ian and I to her and I decided to move away from the totally pink look..
I used my download collection Paper Blossom for this one and created the number thirty in Photoshop. I printed everything out onto card and cut out the thirty and mounted it on foam pads. I finally got my new Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder out of the packet and used that on the backing of the sentiment. The ribbon is some lush stuff I bought from Ribbon Oasis a while ago..ummm must go back and get some more!!
Well that's the card making for now..my Moms birthday is next so that's the next project, she's a card maker and a member of my design team so I'd better make an effort..no last min cards for her!!

New Christmas downloads released.
I know,I know it's only July but I'm afraid it had to be done..there are two new Christmas themed downloads now available on www.funkyhand.com. I thought I would share a few details here with you if you want a closer look click on the links and that will take you to images of all the papers and extras in the downloads. Each of the download collections contain 20 co ordinating papers, a matching alphabet and toppers all for just £3.49 each!
