My best friend Corrina has had some great news..she has got a new job! I am seeing her tonight and I wanted to give her a card to congratulate her. I spoke with her yesterday and she had given in her notice to her boss, it was very hard for her as she has been working at that company for a long time so I hope that my card will remind her that her new job is what she wants!

The backing paper is from my new (soon to be released) CD 'V. Funky' Yes..at long last it has a name!! and so are the letters. I added a little bit of sparkle with small stick on gems as Corrina likes a bit of bling!! Best get back to work as Ian (my techie) is expecting everything for the new CD to be ready for him to do his magic with by this weekend.. heck I have loads to do!!

Why is it always so hard to make cards for men? I have decided that simple is best. So, as it's Ian's Dads 65th birthday today and he didn't want to make a big deal about it,I have just use masculine colours and kept the card really plain and simple.

The papers are from my new CD which is on the verge of being completed (finally!) so I will tell you more about it in a later post. Now off to get changed to go to the family birthday party.. nothing like leaving the card making till the last moment!!

I have been pretty ill for last couple of weeks with food poisoning so it's been an up hill struggle keeping on top of orders and designing. Thankfully today I am starting to turn the corner and feel a little better. Last weekend was my best friends little girls first birthday so even though I was pretty ill I made this birthday card for her from her Mom and Dad.

She is such a cutie I had no problem finding a nice picture of her but I didn't want it to be a straight forward 'pink' girlie card so I used a paper from my 'soon to be finished' CD which has a grungy polka dot pattern. I think it worked really well. Well her Mom and Dad were pretty pleased with it and it is already in the keepsake box for when she is older. Well best get back to completing the designs for this new CD, very soon I hope to be able to tell you more about it!

I am so excited! My CD Funky Seasons is featured in this months edition of Card Making and Papercraft Magazine. I've known for months that it would be so I don't know why I am so excited but that's just me I suppose.
I am still working away putting the finishing touches to my next CD release..I hope to be able to tell you more about in the next week or so.

I have been at it again.. making cards when I should be designing! I ordered these new stamps from a great site in Canada called www.stampingbella.com and they arrived this morning so nothing could keep me from getting out my under used (recently) H2O paints as these designs just screamed out for a bit of shimmery paint! I have been trying hard to improve my use of wire and beads on my cards so the Bath time card got my latest creation! Both cards have been made with backing papers from my soon to be released and as yet unnamed CD which I should be completing as I type but I thought I would show you what I have been up to this afternoon. Ahh well back to work...
